N U T R I T I O N

TAKE A FURTHER LOOK AT HOW PRIME OFFERS AN IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF NUTRITION BEST-SUITED FOR THE HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY. 

     Samantha was born in New Orleans and almost instantly took an interest in being physically active. As her attempt at sprints throughout her childhood home became too reoccurring, her parents enrolled her in a playground sports league at the age of six. With multiple sports being offered throughout the year, this made for one early-to-bed child and two happy parents. Her love for sports began with track and field, and quickly developed to include softball, volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She played varsity for all five sports in high school at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Metairie.

Samantha

      Samantha’s love for sports evolved into an overall desire for wellness and carried over to her decision to major in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University. Upon graduating, she began training adults and athletes at the professional and collegiate levels at Traction Center for Sports Excellence in Baton Rouge. 

     Her interest in physical performance advanced to an interest in energy metabolism after being introduced to the work of Dr. Raymond Peat.  She then moved back to her hometown to build her career training there and began studying nutrition and its effects on energy at the cellular level. She was previously a believer in training hard and frequently while adhering to the food pyramid and nutritional guidelines that were formerly instilled throughout Samantha’s lifetime.

     She traded in her previous beliefs of “work now, rest later” and skewed education on nutrition for a well-rounded approach to nutrition and wellness that uses metrics such as quality of digestion, sleep, mood, libido, quality of skin, body temperature, and quality of lean muscle. Samantha believes that these are indicators of how the body is functioning at the cellular level and focuses on improving these metrics through the proper supplementation of food and mental prosperity. Her current philosophies and research studied consists of works of Dr. Ray Peat, Dr. Constance Martin, Josh Rubin, Dr. Hans Selye, Dr. Broda Barnes, Dr. Gilbert Ling, and Danny Roddy to name a few. 

   

      Samantha is a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Nutritional Consultant through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She currently trains at her own studio in New Orleans at 108 Harrison Avenue; and Samantha provides nutritional, fitness, and lifestyle coaching to clients locally and worldwide via in-person, Skype, email, and phone.
